NBC Atlanta gets an ‘Outstanding’ rating of 9.5 out of 10 is based on a number of factors. First, there is the 11 Alive News live stream, which airs Atlanta breaking news along with the regularly scheduled 11 Alive News broadcasts. Also WXIA TV has a great video collection so viewers can catch up on the Atlanta news, and Atlanta sports stories they may have missed earlier in the day. More about our rating method.

WXIA’s website has everything a viewer could want — from live streaming of breaking news to a pleasing video display. The site has clear links to the WXIA TV schedule, and it does a great job in presenting 11Alive weather reports. Since traffic is always a concern for metro Atlanta commuters, 11 Alive traffic coverage has its own dedicated section on the site. Additionally, we note–the NBC Atlanta Live website is fast.
The only reason we aren’t giving Eleven Alive News a perfect rating is because of a couple of minor FCC issues. These concern WXIA’s failure to comply with FCC limits on advertising to children. Additionally, there are complaints about airing those annoying commercials that blare the Emergency Broadcast Signal in a deceptive attempt at capturing the viewer’s attention.
11 Alive Newscast currently airs a little more than 28 hours of station produced Atlanta breaking news broadcasts each week. There are four hours of coverage devoted to each weekday, 3.5 hours on Saturdays, and an additional two hours on Sundays. You can find information about the NBC Atlanta schedule on its website.
WXIA TV Liveis owned by TENGA, and offshoot of the Gannet Company.
11Alive also helps viewers keep tabs on Atlanta breaking news with a collection of 11 Alive Apps (with 11 Alive Weather Radar). These apps provide timely alerts from the 11 Alive Traffic App, and the 11 Alive Weather App. You can learn more about this collection of Atlanta local news apps here.
