Nothing unites people around the world like The Olympics. For two weeks every two years, citizens from all countries watch as one as the world’s athletes give it their all to attain glory for their nations.
The 2018 Olympics, held this winter in Pyeongchang, South Korea, will capture the globe’s attention from the opening ceremonies on February 9 to the final day on February 25.
MORE WAYS TO LIVE STREAM THE RIO OLYMPICS:
PyeongChang 2018 is already on track to set records. Here’s the 2018 Winter Olympics by the numbers: 90 nations, 102 events and 7 different sports.
Global interest in the 2018 Winter Olympics will be likely be greater than ever this year. That’s because more of the world has access to the web than during any previous Olympic Games. Internet access means that, even for those without a convenient way to get broadcast TV, viewers can watch Winter Olympics online to catch all the action.
Even though fans across the globe will be able to watch Winter Olympics live streams, finding an accessible stream will still be tricky for many. First, online access to the 2018 Games will be different in regions of the world (though there is an easy way to get around geographical restrictions). Plus, some providers of live streaming will require viewers to log in with cable or satellite TV credentials.
This means there will be plenty of confusion, and searching for other ways to live stream PyeongChang 2018 for free, or in a particular region of the world.
Winter Olympics Live Streams: What We Know So Far
There will be more options than ever to watch PyeongChang Olympics live streams this year. Here are all the major channels in the US and around the world that will live stream Winter Olympics 2018.
Where To Watch Winter Olympics 2018 Online
+ NBC: NBC and NBC Sports Network will offer Winter Olympics live streams for US audiences on a dedicated site, NBCOlympics.com and on the NBC Sports app. For the first time, NBC will live stream all its coverage of the entire Games online, from all of its NBCU Olympic networks. That includes Olympic coverage from: NBC, NBCSN, CNBC, MSNBC, USA Network, Telemundo, NBC Universo, Olympic Channel, the NBC Sports app, and NBCOlympics.com. Mike Tirico will host — making PyeongChang 2018 the first since 1988 someone other than Bob Costas has hosted NBC’s Olympic coverage. Watching live will require login with cable/satellite provider credentials. But, NBC will let you watch for free for 30 minutes before prompting you to log in, and give you another 5 free minutes a day.
The only moment of PyeongChang 2018 that NBC might not live stream is the Opening Ceremony. If NBC does what they did during the 2016 Summer Games, they’ll only show the Opening Ceremony over-the-air. So if you want to watch it online, you’ll need to get access to the Olympics live stream on the BBC, or another source outside the US.
