Watch ‘The Walking Dead’ Online Free, Without Cable — Catch Up On Season 7 & More

By Steph Myers / April 21, 2017 / Tags: , ,

Here’s how to watch The Walking Dead online, even without cable or for free — including the latest Season 7.

Watch 'The Walking Dead' online

The guts, gore, and glory of The Walking Dead was as good in Season 7 as in any other. Now that it has reached its very climactic conclusion, the entire Season 7, A and B, is available to stream on-demand. If you need to catch up on past seasons, you can do that too.

What To Stream Today

So whether you want to watch The Walking Dead online for free, without cable, or with a TV provider, you have several great options. Here they are.

Watch Full Episodes Of The Walking Dead On-Demand

If you have a TV subscription that includes AMC, you can watch Season 7 on-demand on AMC.com. Your cable/satellite company should also have episodes available on demand.

If you don’t have cable, you can still watch The Walking Dead on demand. You can buy full episodes, including the current Season 7, from several different sources.
Amazon Video TV Shows

First, you can find every episode from all 7 seasons on Amazon Instant Video.

Google Play, iTunes, Vudu, the PlayStation store, and the Microsoft store also have Season 7 episodes available to buy a-la-carte.

You can stream Seasons 1-6 of The Walking Dead on Netflix. Season 7 will be available on Netflix soon.

Watch The Walking Dead Online Free

You can also stream The Walking Dead for free — but stay away from those “free live TV!!!” sites. There’s a better way.

You can use Kodi to watch The Walking Dead online for free (plus lots of other shows). What is Kodi? Briefly, it’s a free media player application you can use to stream TV shows and other content from the internet.

How To Use Kodi: A Simple Quick-Start Guide

One note — whether Kodi is legal is an issue of debate. Yes, the networks frown upon watching their content for free. Hey, I’m not here to judge. But it is highly recommended you use a VPN with Kodi to stay private and secure.

To see what you can watch on Kodi, and how to get started, check out our beginner’s guide on how to use Kodi. If you already use it and need help finding quality sources to stream TV on Kodi, see our list of the best Kodi add-ons. This includes some great options to watch popular shows like The Walking Dead.

An alternate approach to Kodi is to download free episodes of The Walking Dead — but this is technically illegal, so beware of the risks and the precautions to take before you head down this path. See more about downloading free TV.

Watch Replays Of The Walking Dead Live Online

You can live stream replays of The Walking Dead on AMC’s website. Go here to watch new episodes online the same time they air on TV. You will need to log in with your pay-TV provider to get access.

If you don’t have cable, you have several options.

FuboTV: First, you can use fuboTV. FuboTV is a live and on-demand TV streaming service that will give you access to 46+ popular channels — including AMC — starting at $15/month, no cable needed. Take advantage of their 7-day free trial to test it out (and stream some free TV in the process).

YouTube TV: You can also watch AMC live and on-demand on YouTube TV. This is YouTube’s new live TV streaming service. For $35/month, you can live stream a bunch of popular network and cable channels, plus you get unlimited DVR space. It’s a great new option for streamers and cord-cutters. Sign up for a 1-month free trial to watch for free, even if you don’t keep it. The drawback is of YouTube TV is that it’s only available in a couple of cities. The good news is that even if it’s not available where you are, you can still get access. See how to get YouTube TV in any location.

Sling TV & PlayStation Vue: You can also live stream The Walking Dead replays on Sling TV or PlayStation Vue. Both offer free trials if you want to test them out, and stream some ‘Dead’ episodes for free. Most cable and satellite companies these days also let customers stream the channels they subscribe to, so check with your provider.
