Conor McGregor said he was very pleased the Nevada Athletic Commission approved 8 oz. gloves for his fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Does this give the UFC star the advantage?

Comment on Facebook

Seriously without any stupid comments...can anyone actually say that McGregor has a chance of winning this fight. The two sports are totally different, Mayweather is an amazing boxer and faces some fierce competitors...like his fight style or not the man can box

U can't hit what u can't see.. Floyd will be defensive and countering Conor every chance he gets..

Here is the part no one has mentioned.... Mayweather fought most of his career with 8 oz gloves....so who really has the advantage?

Mayweather fanboys then: "10 oz gloves, takes away Connor's power even if he could hit Floyd...Floyd was smart to get it to 10oz, takes away power, easier to block, easier to perry..." Mayweather fanboys Now: "better for Floyd. now Connor won't be able to hit him. Floyd fought his while career in 8oz..." Please stop the mental acrobatics, the writing is on the wall, Floyd wants an excuse and and * for his loss. Connor baited him, and he hooked him. Now just the reel-in.

Lol hope you can last 5 to 7 rounds at least

He most likely doesn’t have the stamina to last 12 rounds with Floyd. Let’s be real: Floyd isn’t knocking out prime Conor at 40 years old, and Conor isn’t going to be the first to ever K.O Floyd when he isn’t even a boxer. It’ll go 12, Floyd will put on a spectacular defensive display, Conor won’t be able to hit him, and Floyd will win unanimously from out-scoring Conor.

Nick Hudspeth Antwon Washington yalls boy huh

Lol at the people who think he's going to beat mayweather. If mayweather thought he could lose to him he wouldn't have took the fight.

Well, professional boxers cant hit him,how much more a MMA fighter...does he even know how to move like a boxer in a boxing ring?

I see Mcgregor winning..

😂😂 not gonna save you

As much as I can't stand Mayweather I'll be surprised if McGregor hits him five times. This is such a joke. There's been what maybe a handful of actual boxers who have ever hit Mayweather hard and he still won. He's fought guys who have hit harder and they never touched him.

don't think anything is going to help Conor. when Floyd starts leaning back like he does, Conor's going to just be swatting flies and not hitting. I like Conor but it'll take a LOT to beat Mayweather.

Its a benefit to both mayweather will just be that much faster but he has to be extra careful conor doesnt connect now i still say mayweather by decision it will ve a long drug out fight with mcgregor trying to end it every punch and u cant hit mayweather swinging like that

Boxing fans around the world see this going one way. Because if it doesn't.... And that IF ain't as big as you think.... Boxing is dead. For good.

This guy Conor is only after the $100m money. He knows he doesn't have a chance vs Mayweather. I hope Floyd destroys his lousy mouth in few rounds!

Conner is in for a frustrating night. Getting popped all night while swinging away wildly. He's getting ready to be a punching bag. Can't wait to see it free in a few months.

As much as I want Conor to win and think he's being overlooked in the fight, he is stepping into Mayweather's playground and needs to be careful.

The only good thing about your ding bats that are planning to pay $100 to watch is you will see about 7-8 rounds.....of crap!

Conor's in it for the money he don't really care if he doesn't win because if he loses he still gets a great pay day it's a no brainer

Well you still have to connect with him lol he's only 49-0 in a sport where dodging extremely fast hits is a factor

“all it takes is one lucky 3 pointer for me to beat Steph Curry in a 3-point shootout contest” That’s what you guys sound like Erick Campos when you say all it takes is one lucky punch for Conor McGregor to beat Floyd Mayweather

Darius Jennings ☕️🐸

The only difference is the weight of an egg 🤣

Oh no. It gets worst for conor. Lol poor dude. It's reeeallly over with now. Lol -1200 mayweather

I guess Paulie got those marks on his face from falling down the stairs 🤔 in his head gear!! Smh...its plain too see that Conor is like watching Tiger Woods in his hay day and unfortunately for Floyd, he is next on Conor's list. He is going to EMBARRASS Floyd and it's gonna be really bad!! When I hear these "boxing experts" not giving Conor a chance, it really just shows that they haven't really sat down and studied Conor. I'm a long LONG long time fan of both sports, more of a boxing fan. But it doesn't take a genius to see that Conor is light years ahead of Floyd now or even when Floyd was the same age. Conor is just on another level that no other fighter/boxer has ever been on. He understands that the "sweet science" of boxing doesn't play a factor, if you're studious enough to create a method of your own to defeat it. And that's exactly what he has done!! I've been saying it for 2 years now, that there isn't another fighter on his level. It's just truly amazing how others are sooooo blind too see it!

Conor McGregor will go wherever the money is. Much depends on his performance. If he absolutely sucks as a boxer then he might be forced back to the UFC. I get the feeling he will only do UFC again if he can get another big payday like another Diaz fight or someone like George St Pierre, which would still be viable paydays regardless of the Mayweather fight. Otherwise th UFC paydays just aren't as lucrative. McGregor-Frankie Edgar just won't drive the national media or audience. Ultimately I think he'd like to do well enough to have a McGregor-Mayweather II like he had with Diaz.

not before he fights hes contract out he wont be fighting no wer apart from ufc dana and ufc only allowed this coz there making a fortune out of it only coz its mayweather any other fight wudent make sense for the ufc money wise only a mayweather rematch when conor knocks him out lol

What you all fail to remember is that interview he did after the Aldo fight when you said flat out that he doesn't plan on doing this forever. He's trying to make his money and move on. He wants to spend time with his Wife and Son and I don't blame him. He's made enough money to provide a great life for them and that's all he truly cares about

The only reason that I will be watching boxing is for the Mayweather and McGregor fight after that back to UFC with or without McGregor. Boxing is boring. Thanks to Mayweather. Real fighters are in the UFC......

I actually think Mayweather will end up promoting him!

Conor will make more money fight canelo or GGG over anyone the UFC has to offer he'll get knocked out but make more money

Hope McGregor wins by knockout. Earlier the better. Heads will explode lol

hola amigos de espn saludos desde honduras los veo todos programas de portivos de de incuetros de uefa champins league grasias david gonzales

MMA>Boxing...get over it already

Never happen he isn't that good at boxing as we will all see 8 26 17

Floyd get him in 5 rounds lights out down !

Bless him

I hope whitlock chokes on a twinkie

nope. he won't. that is just idiocy.

Shutup you nitwit

Paulie crying for that money lol.

Collin, you are so dam stupid.
