Cox Communications why did cost of internet go up? You now have a data cap on internet usage. How does that make any sense? Pay more for less? #Centurylink offers comparable data speeds in my area for half the price and get this NO DATA CAP. Price gouging is wrong Cox Communications and you should not be allowed in areas where Cox Communications is the only provider.

Cox sure is having a field day with the people of Santa Barbara and Goleta. $100 for a service with only 1TB of data over a 300mbps connection? That's 8 hours of use at that advertised speed... Too bad they have a monopoly in the area and no competition to stop them from gauging their customers...

So I just came in from Michigan to Phoenix and ordered service..the service wouldn't boot up, so after waiting on the phone I was told to take the box back to the store..I did, got a new box, took it home, hooked it up, did everything the instructions said..guess what, STILL nothing..still got this IA09 error crap on my screen, called cox back AGAIN, and they (after punching some keys on his computer) said the jack/outlet in my apartment isnt "active", (THEN WHY DID YOU GIVE ME A DO IT MYSELF KIT 😠😠😠) now after 2 trips to the cox store..I have to **wait a day** to have a tech (which costs $55 dollars) to come out to my and push a button on his little device to make my outlet "active" so I can have cable, which is BULLS@$T...this shouldn't cost me A DIME...Im so upset I gotta PAY t have someone come to my place after I set this up correctly and pay extra for them to do nothing but push an activation key...*AND I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE DAY FOR IT TOO* my service isn't even on yet and Im dissatisfied! 😡😡😡 Just venting..not that anything will get done about it!

It really makes me laugh how you people find any reason to moan in public. Let me make a fool out of myself and complain for eeeeeveryone to see my “struggle”. You want perfect but perfect doesn’t exist. Everytime this company puts an advert online people find something negative to post in response, completely irrelevant to their post. If you have complaints call their customer service, every provider has customer service. They can help, that’s what they are getting paid for. Unless you have something constructive to say in public, maybe you shouldn’t say anything and deal with your problems in a mature and professional way through the right channels that are put in place for you. Come on, moan about my post too now.

When are you going to offer European channels like TVE or Antena 3 or any others from Spain 🇪🇸, I like your services better than Verizon fios, but I use them for that reason.

Can't say I'm having any of the issues that people are talking about here. I have gigablast and for $79 a month, you can't beat it. No data caps, no throttling, nothing negative to say.

Brad: Gigablast has a 2Tb cap as of the last month or two.

Gee Cox day five and I still have a double charge on my account, with no action from you to resolve this issue. You don't even try to fix an issue your agent has noted you know exists, that costs your customers money and leaves them without that money for not days, but now nearly a week at a time. Amazing how much you value your customers! Even working with my bank for days we haven't been able to resolve the issue as simply as you made it sound. Another stream coming soon, I've reached over 1000 people now, with 100 pledging to cancel this week. I hope your subscribers know how much you "care".

Cox is down again. Day 11 this month. Worst company ever.

Cox just tried charging me for a 17 year old bill ever hear of THE 7 YEAR STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS?

This company is completely and utterly garbage. The worst service. All they do is provide terrible internet and terrible customer service. I highly recommend to anyone that is thinking of getting service from Cox, that they look the other way to better options. Which is pretty much any other option that you could find. I hope this company goes out of business.

Well Internet bill jumped up another random $6. Getting sick of it going up every 3 to 4 months without any notice. Chatted in and got nothing so I'll be cancelling my services soon. Won't be hard, dropped TV from them 2 to 3 years ago

I was blown away this morning when I got my first bill from Cox...when I signed up last week for the bundle it was $89.99 and the sales person told with tax and everything it would be $99.98......my bill was $120.30...we will not be staying with COX. Why can’t you be honest and stay with the price you quoted me

So after being without internet yesterday for 12 hours and losing over $250.00 in pay from missing work, Cox has told me there is nothing they can do. They told me that if I had a business account instead of a residential account, then they could do something for me. The business account costs over $100.00 more a month but doesn't provide me an upgraded service. So basically my $100.00+ a month is pre paying my own compensation that they would give me for service interruptions.

Seriously considering changing providers and we've been with cox for years, my bill doubled. I now pay $80 for basic net and phone. I called and stated that my bill doubled and we are considering changing providers but wanted to see our options with Cox , they transferred me to billing. And I will say you have some fantastic billing CS agents, ours was beyond polite, kind, and very helpful, but I think our issue was far more a retention issue than billing issue because we wanted details on packages and such but she did wonderful at looking up all the info and helping us. We didn't want to bombard her with questions out of her department, so i decided to talk it over with my husband and we still feel our problem wasn't solved.

I have to call every month due to issues

Our bill for some reason just keeps going up. It will be more the next month with no warning and no explanation. The amount that we pay for Cable/ Internet / Phone ( which we don’t even use the phone ) They never tell us when something should be up graded. Last week we were having trouble with on-demand and we could not rent a movie and the buy button was grayed out. So my husband calls he’s on the phone for 30 minutes with a lady who had no clue what was going on. He hung up it still wouldn’t work so I told him you need to call back we pay our bill on time we never have any issues as far as our payment. So he calls back he talks to a gentleman and come to find out we have a old boxes that should’ve been upgraded five years ago. So makes me furious that the company does not check with people about that. So they asked did we want to pick up the boxes at the office or do we want to have someone come and put them in. My husband asked is there any extra charge oh no you won’t be charged. The guy comes he puts in both boxes tells me oh the line in the back isn’t up to code so we have to change that. My husband just looked at the cable bill this morning we were charge $75 for that man to come and put those boxes in and apparently we get charged for the Replacement of the line in the back. I have not been happy with Cox for a while because of the bill it’s ridiculous what we pay a month for basic cable. After we were now charge $75 you can bet the first thing I’m doing today is I’m finding a new cable company.

If you are looking for a cable provider don't use Cox!!! Missed appointments, miss information... I could go on for days!

Why does your internet service suck so bad? Can't wait until Verizon Fios is available in my area.
